Whale Shark (Rhincodon typus) feeding on baitball ; Azores – Santa Maria Island – Portugal

First underwater images of Whale sharks taken in the Azores.
Due to a 3º increase in water surface temperature, in the last 3 years the Azores has had many whale sharks in their waters. I took a 10 days expedition to search for these giants of the seas, this was the second wahle shark I saw after several days searching for them at high sea. This image is a peack of the action shoot of a big bait ball keeping behind the wahle shark to avoid getting eaten, as it swam past me.
